Doctors’ Testimonies Expose Israel’s Genocide in Gaza

For months, the world has seen horrifying images coming out of Gaza. But some of the most devastating testimony comes directly from the doctors who have worked inside hospitals and makeshift clinics amid the devastation. Their accounts are not only a record of unimaginable human suffering but also damning evidence of a deliberate campaign of violence that meets every definition of genocide.
"Indescribably Worse" Than Before
Dr. Nick Maynard, a British surgeon who has worked in Gaza for 15 years, recently described his latest trip as "indescribably worse" than anything he had ever seen before. He reported children arriving skeletal from starvation. Mothers were brought into emergency care after being shot in their tents while feeding their infants.
Teenage boys came in clusters, each with nearly identical gunshot wounds inflicted on the same day. One day it was head shots, the next abdominal wounds, and another day, a group of boys each shot in the testicles. Dr. Maynard said the pattern was unmistakable: these were deliberate acts. Children are being used as target practice in a calculated campaign of terror.
Starvation by Design
Dr. Maynard also revealed that American doctors trying to deliver aid had infant formula confiscated from their luggage by Israeli officials at the crossing. Newborns, meanwhile, were dying for lack of nourishment. This is not collateral damage. It is systematic starvation, enforced even against efforts to bring life-saving supplies into Gaza.
Pregnant Women and Infants Suffering Catastrophic Consequences
Dr. Ambreen Salimi, a urogynecologist with two decades of experience in conflict zones, confirmed the crisis. She found colleagues at Nasser Hospital physically wasting away while treating patients too malnourished to heal. She described surging rates of miscarriages and congenital disabilities as hunger and toxins from bombardments harmed pregnant women and infants. These outcomes are not isolated tragedies but part of a broader pattern of destruction targeting the most vulnerable.
"No One Can Be Prepared"
In a recent Zeteo Town Hall hosted by journalist Mehdi Hasan, both Dr. Maynard and Dr. Salimi spoke plainly about what they had witnessed. "I actually don't think anyone can be prepared for the things you see in Gaza now," Dr. Maynard admitted. Their testimonies strip away any remaining pretense that this is a war fought with restraint or accountability.
Members of Congress Speak Out
For the first time, a growing number of U.S. lawmakers are publicly naming these atrocities for what they are. Fifteen members of Congress — including Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Summer Lee, Al Green, Delia Ramirez, Bonnie Watson Coleman, John Garamendi, Betty McCollum, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Hank Johnson, Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Katherine Clark — have now used the word "genocide" to describe Israel’s actions.
This number remains shockingly low, less than 3% of Congress, but it marks a turning point. The once ironclad silence in Washington is cracking.
AIPAC’s Failing Grip
For decades, AIPAC’s money and propaganda machine has shielded Israel from accountability, ensuring American weapons and political cover continue to flow. But these testimonies, combined with a shifting public conscience, show that grip slipping. Only AIPAC-funded politicians would defend the act of seizing infant formula from doctors’ bags while newborns starve.
Naming Genocide for What It Is
When border guards confiscate infant formula while newborns die, that is genocide.
When soldiers and drones fire on children at food distribution sites, that is genocide.
When pregnant women miscarry from hunger and infants are poisoned by toxins in the air and soil, that is genocide.
The evidence is overwhelming, and the voices of these doctors are undeniable. Israel is carrying out a genocide in Gaza. The question is no longer whether the world knows — it is whether leaders in Washington will finally act.
