Mike Huckabee’s Gaza Propaganda Tour Backfires Spectacularly
August 3, 2025
On Friday, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee joined U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff in a photo-op-heavy visit to one of Israel’s so-called humanitarian aid distribution sites in Gaza. What was meant to be a staged display of “concern” quickly turned into a glaring example of state-sponsored propaganda, one that has drawn comparisons to some of history’s most grotesque cover-ups. While Huckabee was mugging for cameras behind razor wire, Israeli forces were killing at least 82 Palestinians—most of them starving civilians—just miles away.
Let’s be clear: this wasn’t a humanitarian visit. It was a PR stunt designed to paper over war crimes. And it failed.
Razor Wire and War Crimes
In one of Huckabee’s widely circulated photos, he can be seen standing near the perimeter of the so-called aid site, which is enclosed in razor wire. It didn’t take long for experts to sound the alarm. LTC (Ret.) Anthony Aguilar, a whistleblower who briefly worked at these sites under the misnamed “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” (GHF), confirmed that the wire was not just for show. It was deliberately installed at the request of both the GHF and the Israeli Defense Forces to “channelize and herd” thousands of unarmed, starving civilians.
This is not just cruel. It’s illegal. The use of crowd-control measures like this in humanitarian settings violates Geneva Guidelines 7.3.4 and 7.3.5, which explicitly prohibit such designs when they risk stampedes or injury. These aren’t theoretical violations. They are real, documented breaches of international humanitarian law, and Huckabee’s own photos may be used as evidence.
A History of Propaganda
The staged nature of Huckabee and Witkoff’s visit drew immediate comparisons to the Nazi regime’s infamous 1944 tour of the Theresienstadt concentration camp. In that grotesque charade, the Nazis created a “model camp” to show off to the International Red Cross while concealing the horrific reality of mass death and deportation. The goal then, as now, was to hide genocide behind a manufactured image of care.
Sources in Gaza, including journalists and humanitarian workers, confirmed to Drop Site News that Huckabee and Witkoff’s tour followed a nearly identical script. Carefully choreographed scenes. Selective access. Sanitized surroundings. And all of it while people continued to die on the other side of the camera.
Aid as a Death Trap
Since the GHF assumed control over aid distribution in May, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food. These aid sites have not been neutral zones of relief. They’ve been deliberately placed in active combat areas, encircled with wire, and turned into lethal bottlenecks. Civilians have been gunned down while trying to reach basic supplies. American contractors working with Israeli forces have been documented targeting aid seekers, turning the search for food into a bloodbath.
This is not humanitarianism. It is weaponized starvation. And it is being funded, defended, and politically protected by the United States government—under the direct influence of AIPAC and its network of bought politicians.
The Mask Is Off
AIPAC and its allies expect Americans to ignore this. They expect us to believe the photo ops and dismiss the eyewitness reports. But after 22 months of livestreamed horror, they’re running out of ways to hide the truth. No matter how carefully they stage their scenes, they can’t outrun the footage, the witness testimony, or the dead.
Every photo from Huckabee’s visit is evidence. Every statement made on that tour is a desperate attempt to rewrite reality.
But this time, it won’t work.
Accountability Is Coming
The tide is turning. Supporting Palestine is no longer a fringe issue. It is now the moral baseline for Democratic voters and candidates. This isn’t just about foreign policy—it’s about the soul of our democracy.
Every AIPAC-backed politician who supported or ignored this atrocity will face a reckoning. And we are working every day to make sure that reckoning comes soon.
AIPAC’s grip on American politics is weakening. With every exposed lie, every document of abuse, and every child starved by policy, the movement to end their influence grows stronger.
Palestine will be free. And the people who enabled this genocide will not escape history’s judgment.
