Netanyahu Humiliated at the UN as the World Turns Against Genocide

September 26, 2025

Three days ago, Benjamin Netanyahu took the stage at the United Nations General Assembly expecting the world to listen. Instead, he was humiliated. Diplomats from more than 50 countries streamed out in protest, leaving him to rage across rows of empty seats.

The symbolism was unmistakable: the world is turning against Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.

Global Solidarity With Palestine

The Brazilian delegation arrived wearing keffiyehs. Colombian President Gustavo Petro delivered one of the most powerful speeches of the day, condemning the UN itself for complicity in genocide. “We need a powerful army of the countries that do not accept genocide… We must liberate Palestine!” he declared.

Brazilian President Lula embraced Petro, even kissing him on the forehead in a gesture of solidarity that spread like wildfire across social media. For millions around the world, this moment embodied a growing global movement that refuses to stay silent while Gaza starves.

Psychological Warfare Against Gaza

But Netanyahu could not let the humiliation stand. Even as world leaders walked out, Israel’s military conducted an “unprecedented operation” on the Gaza border: blasting his speech over loudspeakers, and claiming to have forced it onto Palestinians’ personal cell phones.

This grotesque act of psychological warfare shows the cruelty of a regime that not only bombs families but insists they hear the very words of the man ordering their destruction. It is an attempt to dominate not just the body, but the spirit.

The Tide is Turning

The tide of global opinion, however, is shifting. Just this week, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Australia formally recognized Palestinian statehood. These moves send a clear message: Netanyahu is losing legitimacy on the world stage.

But where was the United States? Sitting firmly behind him. Once again, AIPAC-bought politicians ensured America stood with genocide rather than walking out in protest. They continue to vote for billions in military aid to Israel, veto ceasefire resolutions at the UN, and smear any leader who dares speak out.

Why Our Work Matters

Colombian President Gustavo Petro was right: “Trump is an accomplice to genocide.” But the truth is, so are the politicians—Democrat and Republican—who take AIPAC’s money and rubber-stamp Netanyahu’s war crimes.

This is why Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption/Track AIPAC exists. We refuse to accept complicity. We are exposing AIPAC’s grip on Congress, defeating their candidates, and electing leaders who will stand up to Netanyahu instead of standing with him.

The walkouts at the UN were a powerful moment. But for change to happen here in the United States, we must build power of our own. Every dollar we raise goes toward breaking AIPAC’s stranglehold on American politics and making sure “Free Palestine” is more than a slogan—it’s a reality.
