Starving Gaza: How AIPAC-Funded Politicians Enabled a Man-Made Famine

August 25, 2025

Last week, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) — the world’s top food-crisis authority — made official what doctors and aid workers have been warning for 18 months: famine is occurring in Gaza.

This is not a natural disaster. It is not an accident. It is the most predictable, most preventable, and most intentional famine in modern memory. And yet, nothing has changed.

A Man-Made Famine

Famines don’t “just happen.” They are the result of clear policy choices. In Gaza, Israel’s government deliberately created the conditions for starvation by reimposing a total blockade on March 2, 2025. Food, medicine, water, and fuel were cut off from 2.3 million people.

Doctors pleaded with the world. Parents described children wasting away before their eyes. Humanitarian agencies warned of mass death. The alarm bells could not have been louder.

But the Israeli government tightened the siege and American politicians kept looking the other way.

The AIPAC Connection

That silence wasn’t free. It was purchased.

In 2025 alone, AIPAC has already disbursed more than $14 million to U.S. politicians. More than $10.6 million of it was handed out after Israel broke the ceasefire and reinstated its blockade on March 2nd.

Every politician who took those checks owns this crisis. They were paid to starve Gaza, and they knew exactly what they were enabling.

This isn’t speculation. It’s the sick reality of how AIPAC operates: use massive amounts of cash to shield Israel from accountability, even as it commits war crimes in plain sight.

Half a Million Facing Starvation

The human toll is catastrophic. According to the UN, over 500,000 Gazans are already at risk of imminent death from famine. In a few weeks, that number could climb toward a million.

Even if food aid were allowed in tomorrow, many would not survive. Doctors explain that months of deprivation mean people now require complex medical interventions before they can safely consume food again. Without that care, even eating could kill them.

This is the depth of the crisis: a famine so severe that food itself can no longer be a simple cure.

A Moral Indictment of AIPAC-Funded Politicians

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said it clearly: “This is not a mystery — it is a man-made disaster, a moral indictment, and a failure of humanity itself.”

But in Washington, politicians pocketed millions from AIPAC while ignoring every warning. Their inaction is not just cowardice. It is complicity. Taking AIPAC’s money while Gaza starves is a conscious decision to put campaign cash above human life.

Fighting Back Against AIPAC’s Blood Money

At Track AIPAC, we are working to dismantle AIPAC’s political machine and defeat every politician who takes its blood money. We are exposing the corruption, calling out the complicity, and mobilizing voters who refuse to be accessories to genocide.

The truth is simple: every day of political cowardice means more dead children, more families destroyed, and more proof that our democracy has been hijacked by AIPAC’s cash.

That has to end.
